Week of February 6th

Last week we were very busy getting ready for our 100th day of school!  We made hats, created crafts and wrote about them and listened to stories about the 100th day.  The Monkeys have been very excited.  We finished up our learning in science about objects in the sky and day and night.  We will begin learning about living and nonliving things this week.  In language arts, we continued our focus on fairy tales.  That unit will keep going this week and we will also go into fables next week.  In math, we are learning all about teen numbers and the different ways to represent teen numbers.

Don't forget that our Valentine's Day party will be next week on Tuesday.  Our class will exchange Valentines that morning.  We have 18 students in our class.  Please make and send a Valentine for each of our 18 students so nobody gets hurt feelings.  Please do NOT address the Valentines to anyone.  However, your child may of course sign their name so everyone knows who it is from.  This makes the delivery process of the Valentines much faster.

The Monkeys really enjoyed learning about our superstar last week, Henry!  We learned about his life and interests.

We were excited to begin learning about our Superstar for this week, Ethan Li, this morning!

Come take a look at our "My child has my heart because..." cards in the Kinder hallway.  They are wonderful!!  Our class is the letter "O" in the word LOVE.  We spelled out "LOVE" with all of the Kindergarten cards.
